Work conducted

Barn owl and raptor surveys, dawn and evening chorus and nesting bird surveys, assessment of habitat quality for breeding and foraging, mapping of breeding territories.

The following works have recently been carried out:

  • Dawn chorus surveys, mapping of breeding territories and assessment of habitat suitability for birds at several sites in Somerset.
  • Peregrine falcon surveys at a number of quarries in Somerset.
  • Barn owl surveys of buildings nationwide.
  • Kingfisher surveys along suitable river banks nationwide.
  • Cirl bunting survey at Dawlish, Devon.
