Michael Woods Associates, based in Somerset, is an ecological consultancy established over 20 years ago to provide an efficient and professional service with a record for delivering on time and within budget. Our practice includes both property professionals and ecologists meaning that we have a genuine appreciation of the pressures on the client as well as the need to maintain a rich biodiversity and conserve protected species.

We have significant field skills based on considerable national and international experience and can recommend and execute practical solutions for a wide range of problems. We have particular proficiency in relation to protected vertebrates and are in the forefront of knowledge of a number of species including bats, dormice, badgers, otters, water voles, birds, reptiles and amphibians.

Contracts are undertaken under the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM) code of professional conduct as all members of the consultancy are full members or associates of IEEM. All surveys are carried out by experienced ecologists holding the requisite Natural England or Countryside Council for Wales licences.
